My Mercy Embraces All Things. [Al Quran .7:156]

In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most merciful.

We use this phrase many times daily in our day to day lives but how many times do we ponder over the beauty and impact of this phrase. Do we really understand and acknowledge the greatness of Allah's mercy?

We as human beings constantly depend on Allah's mercy and blessings.

Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Some prisoners were brought to Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) amongst whom there was a woman who was running (searching for her child). When she saw a child among the captives, she took hold of it, pressed it against her belly and gave it a suck. Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “Do you think this woman would ever throw her child in a fire?” We said, “By Allah, she would never throw the child in a fire.” Thereupon Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “Allah is more kind to his slave than this woman is to her child. [Al-Bukarhi and Muslim]

The mercy of Allah is a great quality that includes the love, care, compassion, forgiveness, and gentleness. When we see these qualities in this world we are actually seeing the reflections of Allah's mercy towards his creation.

In a very famous hadith, Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said:

Allah has one hundred mercies, out of which He has sent down only one for jinn, mankind, animals and insects, through which they love one another and have compassion for one another; and through it, wild animals care for their young. Allah has retained ninety-nine mercies to deal kindly with His slaves on the Day of Resurrection. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

What we see in this world is merely a drop from the ocean. Allah nurtures and shelters us and is the most Forgiving, the highest.

Ubadah bin As-Samit (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said:

He who bears witness that there is no true god except Allah, alone having no partner with Him, that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger, that `Isa (Jesus) is His slave and Messenger and he (Jesus) is His Word which He communicated to Maryam (Mary) and His spirit which He sent to her, that Jannah is true and Hell is true; Allah will make him enter Jannah accepting whatever deeds he accomplished. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
This is indeed a sign of mercy from Allah subhana wa taala. In return of our firm belief on the oneness of Allah, we are rewarded with the greatest of the rewards.

Indeed we live by the mercy of Allah but in order to be even more close to Him, we have to work hard. We have to show efforts that we really want to be near Him and it should be with utmost sincerity. We have to be willing to walk on the path that Allah and His Messenger showed us in order to achieve highest stations near Allah.

Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said:

Allah, the Almighty, says: `Whosoever does a good deed, will have (reward) ten times like it and I add more; and whosoever does an evil, will have the punishment like it or I will forgive (him); and whosoever approaches Me by one span, I will approach him by one cubit; and whosoever approaches Me by one cubit, I approach him by one fathom, and whosoever comes to Me walking, I go to him running; and whosoever meets Me with an earth-load of sins without associating anything with Me, I meet him with forgiveness like that.[Muslim]

Quran is one of the greatest mercies of Allah azzawajal on the mankind. It is the greatest gift of Allah. It is a source of solace and ease.

Allah mentions in Qur'an that:

And We have not sent down the Book (the Quran) to you (O Muhammad), except that you may explain clearly unto them those things in which they differ, and (as) a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe. (Quran 16:64)

And this is a blessed Book (the Qur’an) which We have sent down, so follow it and fear Allah (i.e. do not disobey His Orders), that you may receive mercy. (Quran 6:155)

May Allah guide us.

SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE AND ITS CONSEQUENCES.

In the name of Allah, most compassionate and most merciful. “From among the signs of the Hour (end of time) are that religious knowledge will be taken away (by the death of religious scholars), ignorance will prevail, drinking of alcoholic drinks, and there will be a prevalence of Zina.” – Prophet (saw) We begin our topic with these words of our beloved Prophet. How true were his words? We live in a world where all these things are prevalent and unfortunately in our Muslim community as well. Many of our Muslim brothers and sisters are trapped in the evil of Zina and it has become a norm for them, as a result they don’t even consider it haram and unlawful. Allah says in holy Quran: Sūrah al-Isrā’, 17:32: “And do not even approach zina, for it is an outrageous act, and an evil way…’’ We are not going into detail about why Zina is unlawful but in this article, you will find the consequences of this sin. How this affects a life of a person physically, mentally, spiritually and so
