What is The Importance of Saying Bismillah (Beginning With Bismillah)

For those of you looking to reach the ultimate peak in your personal and professional lives, try beginning each act, deed, or intention with the bismillah and see the immediate difference it brings. Beginning your action by invoking the name of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala is a blessing that has been bestowed upon our ummah by our Creator, Most High.

Invoke Allah’s Subhanahu wa Ta’ala name with a sense of sincerity and reliance. This will help in warding away Satan, man’s biggest enemy, whom we have been ordered to seek constant refuge from. Satan can very easily place a wrong intention in your heart, change your way of thinking and mould your thoughts according to his evil plots, making you lose out on the numerous benefits and advantages that you could have easily achieved had you started your work by invoking Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala’s name. Cutting out evil is one of the most effective ways to stay focused and concentrate on the task ahead.

Reciting ‘Bismillah’ before performing any action will immediately make you conscious and ponder over whether the deed/action you want to do is righteous or not, sincere or not. This is a hugely effective method to prevent oneself from committing sins irrespective of how big or ‘small’ the sin may be.

Beginning in the Name of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala opens up the doors of mercy and blessings from our Lord as it is pleasing that we, His slaves, remember Him before performing an action.

“Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah . Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.” (Quran, Chapter 13, Verse 28)

“Remember Me and I will remember you and be grateful to Me and do not be ungrateful to Me”. (Quran, Chapter# 2, Verse#152)

Let’s go back to the seerah for a moment – the first verse revealed to our beloved Prophet (sal Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was “Read, in the Name of your Lord” (96:1). This verse clearly shows the immense importance of not only the word bismillah but the entire principle in itself. The verse makes us understand why Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala chose the words “ the Name of your Lord” before revealing the subsequent verses of The Noble Quran. This directly corroborates the basic and fundamental Islamic etiquette that every (good) action, thought and intention is made in His name and begins with His name.

The above Quranic verses should weigh heavily on our minds at all times. Success can only be achieved through the Will and Grace of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. However, there has to be a constant effort on your part to reach that level of success.

By saying ‘Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim’, we are invoking Allah and if Allah wills, He will impart barakahin that thing.

Begin with bismillah, remember your Lord and strive to achieve excellence. Ward off laziness and procrastination (both being byproducts of the Satan). Achieve success with the perfect frame of mind. Thank Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala much to obtain His mercy and Blessings in everything you wish to perform. You will soon come to realize that invoking Allah’s Subhanahu wa Ta’ala name will become more of a habit, helping you in remembering and glorifying Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala at all times.

Start your day with a positive frame of mind and remember Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala to achieve super productivity in everything you want to achieve in life. In fact, the mere remembrance of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala will put a sense of awe and discipline in your hearts. Dhikr will automatically make you humble, placing self-discipline in our lives.

How true were his words? We live in a world where all these things are prevalent and unfortunately in our Muslim community as well. Many of our Muslim brothers and sisters are trapped in the evil of Zina and it has become a norm for them, as a result they don’t even consider it haram and unlawful. Allah says in holy Quran: Sūrah al-Isrā’, 17:32: “And do not even approach zina, for it is an outrageous act, and an evil way…’’ We are not going into detail about why Zina is unlawful but in this article, you will find the consequences of this sin. How this affects a life of a person physically, mentally, spiritually and so

Ali Banat is a sydney born who was diagnosed with Cancer and doctors have given him only 7 months to live. Despite his circumstances, he considers this a gift from Allah. Ali Banat, is a young man who, in his own words, was “gifted” with a stage 4 cancer throughout his body. He was given just a few months to live but took this great test as an opportunity to change his life. Upon receiving this news he immediately sold his business, gave up his lavish lifestyle and prized possessions and began a new mission to give up his Dunya and work for his Akhira. Ali has humbly dedicated the remainder of his life to helping those who are far less fortunate than him and in doing so, set up the charity MATW Project (Muslims Around The World) which has already changed the lives of so many.
